![]() In all honesty, at your budget, I don't think you can afford to be all that fussy. ![]() If anyone has any other recommendations, that would be great, thanks! So, top of my list at the moment is the Denon DCD-720AE, with the PCM5142, Burr Brown (192kHz/32-Bit), not exactly the same as the one I liked, but seems to be in the right area. I would look at used, but new with warranty would be better. The complete d/a DAC converter list - Īnd discounting all of the ones that are stupid money, I am left with a whole load of Denon's. I want to keep the set-up simple though, so I don't want to add an external DAC, I would rather just swap the cd transport out for a player with a DAC that has a nice warm sound, such as the one that was in my MF V90 DAC. I am looking at buying a cd player to replace my CD transport, in order to get a DAC that I like the sound of better than the Cirrus CS42528 one that is in my amp.īased on previous history with electronics, I tend to dislike CS Dac's as being too bright for music, I found an ESS Sabre DAC to be underwhelming, but really loved the warm sound of a Burr Brown PCM1795 external DAC.
